1989 The first informal meeting was held in the kitchen of Chairwoman Ulla Björnehammar

1990 The first formal meeting with recorded minutes

1991 Contract signed with SLU to produce the first Manimalis Report

1991 Manimalis becomes member of the international network IAHAIO

1992 The trademark Manimalis is registered with the Swedish Patent and Registration Office, PRV

1992 The sixth IAHAIO conference in Montreal; "Animals & Us"

1992 Manimalis meeting at Skansen, the world's oldest open-air museum and zoological park

1993 The first Manimalis Report is published

1995 The second Manimalis Report is published

1995 The seventh IAHAIO conference in Geneva "Animals, Health & Quality of Life"

1997 Manimalis launches the website

1998 The eighth IAHAIO conference in Prague "The Changing Roles of Animals in Society"

2000 The third Manimalis Report is published

2001 The ninth IAHAIO conference in Rio de Janeiro, "People and Animals - A Global Perspective for the 21st Century"

2003 The fourth Manimalis Report is published

2004 Manimalis adds a new secretariat

2004 The tenth IAHAIO conference in Glasgow "People and Animals - A Timeless Relationship"

2005 Manimalis introduces a new website and graphic profile
